Wirtzfeld is a small idyllic village in the East Cantons, located south of the High Fens at an altitude of 580–610 metres, near Lake Bütgenbach. It has approximately 431 inhabitants and excellent tourist infrastructure in every season. In winter, 4 cross-country ski trails are groomed.
